Our Story
Hi, I'm Nupur Akotkar
I've spent 10 years sitting across from people in some of their hardest, most honest moments in therapy rooms, in corporate boardrooms, in community mental health programs, and now, increasingly, in the language of family systems.
My work sits at the intersection of counselling psychology, childhood trauma and systemic healing. With an MSc in Counseling Psychology, I bring a trained, evidence-informed lens to every session alongside Family Constellations training that looks at the patterns systems pass down, often without anyone noticing.

This isn't either/or. It's: understand it with your mind, feel it in your body, and see it in the system it came from.
Why Kasturii ?
There's an old story about the kasturi mृग, the musk deer that spends its whole life wandering the forest, chasing a fragrance it can't locate, not realizing the scent was coming from inside it the entire time.​ I named this practice after that deer.
So much of what brings people to therapy, the anxiety, the relationship patterns, the quiet sense of "something's missing", isn't actually missing. It's buried, disowned, or inherited from somewhere further back than we usually look.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this therapy, or is it healing work?
I'm a trained counseling psychologist first.
Therapy and inner child work draw on that clinical foundation.
Family Constellations is a separate, systemic modality I'm certified in, used alongside that training, not instead of it.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. I'm a psychologist, not a psychiatrist.
If medication may help, I'll refer you to a psychiatrist I trust, and
we can continue working together alongside that care.
Is online therapy as effective as in-person?
Yes, when the space is held well. I practice online-only, which also means no commute and more consistency.
What's your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
- In case of cancellation from our end, fees will be refunded in full.
- In case of reschedule, kindly inform at least 12 hours prior to the session.
- In case of emergencies, refunds will be initiated only for genuine reasons & not more than twice in 6 months.
- If a slot that is not available in the form is filled and fees are paid, please note that the slot will not be confirmed & fees refunded within 36 hours
No email link to the session will be sent unless the payment is made.
